ABOUT THE JERSEY SHORE WAVE

Jersey Shore Women's Football is the newest and most exciting sports franchise in New Jersey.

Founded in 2024, the Jersey Shore Wave will play its inaugural season as a franchise of the Women's National Football Conference where they will compete in 11 v 11 full tackle, NCAA rules football.

Our mission is to elevate and expand opportunities for female athletes by showcasing our skills, determination, and teamwork on the field alongside our passion to serve our local communities.

As the newest franchise of the Women's National Football Conference, we are committed to both excelling in the sports of tackle and flag football, but also to making a meaningful impact on future generations and the local communities we call home.

With tryouts in October 2024 and our first game in April 2025, our leadership team is putting in work behind the scenes to foster a culture of excellence, empowerment, and community engagement to help drive the recognition and respect that women in sports deserve.

Our vision is to create a world where women are empowered to embrace their authentic selves while pursuing the sport they love.

We believe that football is more than just a game; it's a platform for self-expression, confidence, unity, and growth.

By creating a progressive environment where women and girls can compete with passion and pride, we WILL break down societal barriers and redefine what it means to be a female athlete.

We are thrilled to bring women's professional football to the state of New Jersey, led by an exceptional leadership team dedicated to making this vision a reality.

Our organization is spearheaded by LBI residents Owner Dawn Sherman and President Jared Ferko, alongside Dumont resident Head Coach Fabian Alesandro.

This core team is supported by a passionate group of volunteers who are all committed to building a strong, successful team and elevating the games of women's tackle and women's and girl's flag football in the Garden State.

We are deeply committed to our community and partnering with local organizations at the Shore and beyond to create new and exciting opportunities, activations, and strategic partnerships.

Football is the catalyst and Shore She Can, our nonprofit organization, is the vehicle to drive this impact.

Together, by merging the power community with the power of women in sport, we can all encourage future female athletes and leaders to create meaningful impact in the places we call home.
